March Scholarships

The scholarship award will be paid directly to the recipient for their use towards tuition, books, housing, and/or fees. Awards range from $1000 to $4000. Both females and males are invited to apply for this scholarship. Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
1) Be of recent Italian ancestry
2) Be a 2019 graduate of any high school in the state of Utah
3) Be planning to matriculate as a degree seeking student at any public or
private higher education institution

Six finalists will be chosen to present their speeches and compete for monetary prizes and the chance to speak at the Patriotic Service at the BYU Marriott Center. Up to 6 students will be invited to a final competition.

• Native American, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian (student or one parent must be enrolled and have documentation)

• GPA between 2.0 - 3.5 is desirable, however, ALL current or future undergraduate students are encouraged to apply

This is UCA’s fourth year offering essay scholarship opportunities to inspire high school students to create a more caring world. Attached is a flyer, which you may duplicate, containing all the information required to enter.  Set forth below is a basic overview of the details:


  • Each entrant is to choose a category – Children – Animals – Reforestation – or Elderly, then write a 500 or more word essay addressing the caring actions they would take to make change for the better in their chosen category

  • We distribute 10 first prize scholarships of $350 each, and 10 honorable mention prizes of $100 each

2. Fashion Sketches. Show us your work! We know you are just getting started in fashion, so it doesn’t have to be perfect. Send us up to 5 sketches so we get a sense of your style and creativity.
