The SafeUT Crisis Text and Tip Line is a statewide service that provides real-time crisis intervention to youth through texting and a confidential tip program – right from your smartphone.

Youth Services

  • Will see families with children between the ages of 8-17 

  •  No fee for crisis counseling services

  •  Up to 8 additional free sessions provided for short term counseling 

  • Accepts private insurance for long-term counseling based on benefit plan

  • A variety of programs are also available

Valley Behavioral Health 
Children’s Outpatient Services Phone: (801) 284-4990

  •  Services provided for children with a mental health disorder with no health insurance or Medicaid. 

  •  Valley Behavioral Health obtains authorization through Optum Health.

  •   Unfunded program’s co-pay is a sliding fee scale based on income, number of dependents and Utah residency for at least 90 days. 

  •  Accepts private insurances based on benefit plan. No referral by primary care physician is necessary. 

  • Not affiliated with IHC providers

Family Support Center

  •  Sexually abused children, crisis nursery center, parent training, adults molested as children, individual, group & family therapy, parenting classes

  •   Medicaid, United Health Care and Blue Cross/Blue Shield (based on provider plan), crime victim reparations, and special grants for adults molested as children and child victims of sexual abuse.

  •   For a fee, the Family Support Center offers court certified parent ed and adult anger management classes. 

  •  Free crisis nursery at 3 locations and free family mentoring (in-house family support) 

  •  Sliding fee scale- $10-$80

Family Counseling Center

  • Individual and family counseling

  •  Sliding fee scale- starts at $65 visit for annual income of $0-40,000 and goes up from there depending on income. $95/visit for annual income of $80,000+ 

  •  Accepts Medicad, Optum, and some insurances on an individual basis 

  • Does not counsel children under 12
